angels watching over tippy ditch

tippy ditch strikes...

It is Michigan... yes I have lived here all of my life... yes I know how to drive in this snow CRAP!!! However... sometimes we are dealt cards that hold a different hand!
I went in the ditch last night on my way home from work. The roads were clear until I got to Johnson Road that goes from Saranac to Orleans. They did not plow it, so it was really slushy from the day's mega snowfall. I was right next to/in front of the cemetery (right in front of my Grandpa's and Grandma's graves) when a truck coming at me from the north forced me to get over to the right a bit to avoid hitting them. My car got caught in the slush and went twirling all over the road and I landed hard in the ditch on the other side of the road backwards. The impact cracked up the front end of the car... aaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

The truck that sped past me and wouldn't get over never even stopped. I am sure they could see me spin off out of control off the road in their mirrors.

I tried to use my cell but could not get a connection; so I just sat there for a minute, regained my thoughts, sat in the stillness of the moment, and took this time to catch my breath. The very next vehicle that came by was none other than... a tow truck! The man driving the truck stopped and asked if I had called anyone and I said I couldn't get through on the phone. (there were country farms in the area, but I would have had to walk quite a long way in the slippery, slushy snow). The only thing nearest me was the grave yard; Grandpa and Grandma... I could see their graves from where I was.

I asked the tow truck driver if he was en route to another job. He looked at me with a look of, 'man it's been a really long day,' and haphazardly said, "I'm on my way home," he paused, ..."but, I will help you out."

The tow truck man was so nice! He pulled my car out of the ditch and would not take any money. He was really kind and nice, and after pulling me out of the ditch, he packed up his truck, gave me a nice wave, and made his way down the road. I think Grandpa and Grandma sent him as an angel. Maybe they wanted me to stop and see them??? It was definitely an angel experience... that cannot be argued! Amen.

I had to deal with car damage, but at least I'm okay.

Rest assured that you always have an angel watching over you too!

Love, Jill Marshon... aka... Tippy Ditch! ... (That's for you Janel & Jenny. Love wins!)
